Quick, Easy, & Afford should be my motto for many reasons! Thats all that went through my head while I was cooking tonight! I just want to cook a quick meal so I could spend an hour with Chris!! Yehh, Tuesdays blah! Well I left out a word, delicious of course. Lets start with quick: im a quick learner, I love quick meals, im fast....hahah not really anymore, quick at work-- with certain tasks. Okay Easy.. it is very easy to make me smile/happy for example Chris got the coffe pot ready for tomorrow made my day!! Easy, I love easy meals!! Easy, everyone has an easy button right!?! Affordable, the meal total tonight will probably cost you 6-8$ or less, depending on where you shop, I love the clerance rack, thrift store, coupons, crafting...need I continue! I give mom that credit, she made cheap stuff growing up rock!!! Speaking of mom a recipe from her collection:
Kielbasa and Potatos
1 pkg Kielbasa sliced
1 small onion chopped
1T olive oil
1pkg Au Gratin potatos
2&1/2 c hot water
Broccoli chopped
Carrots chopped
1c shredded cheddar
Cook sausage and onion in oil, 5 minutes. Add potatos, yes both the potatos and the mix/powder and the water. Heat to boil. Cover simmer 10 minutes. ( You do not follow the instructions on the potato box...just follow this recipe...chris was gonna do this once). After 10minutes add carrots cook 10 more. Add broccoli cook 10 more. I usually do 10 total because I like crisper veggies. Then add cheese til melted!! Enjoy!!
This is definitely a go to for me!
That is always a go to meal. It looks good for the camera too. Have a good day
