Who Needs Outback Steakhouse!!

Today was a pretty non-eventful day, Chris and I both worked, except I had the luxury of working from home. I should take that back, I had the luxury of bathing my dog who decided to go crazy in the mud puddle yet again today... but worse!! Once Chris returned home I went out to finish up some grocery shopping and stopped into The Andersons.  For those of you who do not know of this store, it is the best store on the planet!! Hahah, whenever my parents come down they have to stop at The Andersons to get a loaf of Cibatta bread! The Andersons is a general store that has EVERYTHING. They have a HUGE selection of wine, and lots of homemade food items ranging from dips, salads, bread, cannoli's, and a great produce section. They also have The House of Meats, where I always go to get steak. I decided to treat my love to steak tonight since he has been working a lot lately. Steak has always been my favorite food, but it wasn't until recently that I began cooking it.  In college you're way to poor to buy steak to cook, and when I was out of college, grilling steak was a man's job so I never learned how to cook it until I was out on my own, now I have mastered it! When I decided I was going to cook steak earlier in the day I did not think it would be dark outside by the time I cooked it. Let me tell you it was an experience! Our back light is not working so firing up the grill and cooking it in the dark was definetly a challenge! I LOVE marinating my steak in  fresh minced garlic and soy sauce. I believe this came from my parents or brother and I almost always do this when grilling steak.  I high recommend trying this if you have not it is so flavorful and delicous! In the end, grilling in the dark is something I should do more!!! My steaks came out perrfect, medium-rare just how I like it, still mooooooing! We had the famous Cibatta bread from the Andersons and of course a green giant veggie!! Ohh and cannot forget about the wine, a Chilean Malbec, which my lovely boyfriend purchased for me last weekend when my parents came and visited Blend of Seven Winery with us in Deleware, Ohio. Yeah I know I can't believe it either, I saved a bottle of wine for a whole week!! :)  Well off I go tonight is movie night with my hunnie! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. Stay tune tomorrow I already have breakfast, lunch, and dinner planned, all new recipes may I add!!!
